Canterbury-Rams (NBL) signed 27-year old American power forward Troy Baxter Jr. (206cm-91kg-1996, college: Morgan State) for upcoming 2023 season. Baxter just played at Khatsaga in Mongolian MNBA. He also played for Antranik in Lebanese LBL in November and December where in four games he had 15.0ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5bpg.
Baxter is quite experienced player. He has played in four different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Baxter has played previously professionally in Dominican Republic (Indios), Paraguay (San Jose), NBA G League (Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Grand Rapids Gold, Windy City Bulls and Wisconsin Herd) and The Basketball Tournament (Gutter Cat Gang).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of MEAC Tournament in 2021. He was voted to MEAC All-Defensive Team in 2021.
He graduated from Morgan State in 2021 and it is his second season as a professional player. Baxter played also for Florida Gulf Coast University for 2 years.
